- Water your newly installed sod immediately
- Maintain consistent moisture levels appropriate to weather conditions at all times
- Extreme heat (90+) or sun exposure may require you to water three or more times a day.
- Never let your sod change colors. This is a clear indication that it is severely lacking moisture.
- You should check moisture content every time you water by lifting up pieces of sod and checking for adequate moisture underneath.
CAUTION: During the first 6-8 weeks after sod is installed try and limit any heavy concentrated use of that area.
Sod will typically start to root 10-14 days after installation depending on condition.
Mow only as needed, never shorter than 4 inches.
Keep in mind this is a PLANT that will need proper water and nutrients to survive.
